A statue of Los Angeles Lakers center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, has been unveiled outside of the Staples Center. The bronze statue is 1,500-pounds and nearly 16-feet.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (born Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor, Jr., April 16, 1947) is a retired American professional basketball player. He is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, with 38,387 points. During his career with the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers from 1969 to 1989, Abdul-Jabbar won six NBA championships and a record six regular season MVP Awards.
